VacuumTechExpo-2025: Exhibition Results

Press release

The 19th International Exhibition of Vacuum and Cryogenic Equipment, VacuumTechExpo, took place from April 1 to 3, 2025, at the Expocentre.

VacuumTechExpo-2025: Exhibition Results
This year, 64 companies from Russia, China, and Belarus participated in the exhibition. A total of 1,678 specialists attended VacuumTechExpo (7% more than last year), with 59% of them visiting the exhibition for the first time. Among the visitors were heads and specialists from research institutes, representatives from the oil and gas, energy, mechanical engineering, construction, medical, food, aerospace, and other industries.

As part of the business programme, the International Scientific and Technical Conference "Vacuum Engineering, Materials, and Technology" was held, with over 200 attendees. More than 160 industry experts delivered reports at the event.

As is traditional, the "Best Innovative Product 2025" competition took place as part of the exhibition, with 17 companies participating.

Cosmonaut and Hero of the Russian Federation, Alexander Poleshchuk, at the ceremonial opening, emphasised the exhibition's importance for the space industry: "This is an excellent discussion platform for specialists and experts in this field. Space technology is one of the consumers of vacuum technology. And we, cosmonauts, live as if in a vacuum, but thanks to your efforts, we live in hermetically sealed environments. Therefore, we have special gratitude for you."

The Scientific and Production Association "Vacuum Technologies" presented a high-vacuum inverse magnetron sensor, the main advantage of which is the complete reparability of the vacuum part and the possibility for end users to service the device. Maria Grigorieva, the General Director of the company, highlighted the attention visitors gave to their products:
"The exhibition was productive, and there were a lot of people. For us, the exhibition is the only way to advertise, because vacuum technology is not something that can be promoted on the internet, and it is the only way to show ourselves to the people who are really interested in it."

Karbosil presented high-temperature vacuum equipment tooling made from graphite and carbon-carbon composite materials. Commercial Director Denis Kulagin shared his impressions: "Considering the situation where many foreign furnace manufacturers, including those producing hardening furnaces, have left our market, this niche needs to be filled. Now, we are developing furnace construction. We are preparing thermal units for these furnaces. We really like this exhibition because it is highly specialised. People come to us with a purpose, they know what it is about – they are already prepared. The result is great because people come to the right place. We participate every year, and we will be at the next one as well."

AcademVac showcased industrial vacuum installations of its own design. Lead Engineer and Designer Dmitry Gorshkov noted the demand for the exhibition as a marketing tool:
"Despite the development of electronic technologies, which allow us to communicate easily from different cities, nothing replaces face-to-face meetings – neither Skype, nor the internet, nor phone calls. The exhibition has a very friendly atmosphere. People with a common goal generate ideas during their conversations, and after receiving new information, they return to their cities, thus creating new strategic directions."

The main news from NPC EOMS was the opening of an authorised service centre for the repair and maintenance of vacuum equipment from the Chinese company KYKY. Sales Department Manager of semiconductor equipment, Pavel Seredin, noted the interest in this service: "Chinese equipment is very popular in Russia right now. All our specialists have been trained and received all necessary certificates from the manufacturer. KYKY works with many distributors, and we service all of them. Almost all exhibitors who are involved in distribution have already become our clients. The exhibition has grown this year compared to last year, and there are quite a lot of visitors. We are also planning to participate next year."
