The Russian Microelectronics Forum — Partner of the VacuumCryoTech-2026 Exhibition

15 September 2026

Russian Forum “Microelectronics 2026” Becomes a Partner of the International Exhibition of Vacuum and Cryogenic Technology Solutions for Science and Industry VacuumCryoTech-2027

From September 27 to October 3, the Russian Forum “Microelectronics 2026” will be held at the Federal Territory of Sirius. The Forum’s key objective is to identify solutions for transforming the industry from import substitution to the large-scale serial production of electronic components and achieving technological leadership in this field.

The Russian Forum “Microelectronics” is included in the programme of the Decade of Science and Technology, proclaimed by a Decree of the President of the Russian Federation to strengthen the role of science and technology in addressing the most important challenges facing society and the country’s development.

The Forum will serve as a platform for signing investment agreements and presenting the first results of new production clusters, including a microchip fabrication plant and silicon-carbide-based power electronics production lines. Representatives of relevant ministries, leading design centres and manufacturing companies will meet to align the long-term plans of state-owned corporations with the capabilities of commercial developers.

The key topics of the plenary sessions will include achieving the target 14 nm process node, developing an end-to-end value chain — from electronic component design to the production of finished radio-electronic modules — and mechanisms for attracting private investment to build new semiconductor fabrication plants.

The Forum’s scientific conference, comprising 14 thematic sections, will cover the entire development cycle: from fundamental research into new materials and lithography equipment to the design of trusted electronic components for critical civilian infrastructure, artificial intelligence systems and next-generation communications.

Around 3,500 industry professionals and experts are expected to attend. More than 700 students, postgraduate students and young professionals will take part in the Young Scientists School. Held annually as part of the Russian Forum “Microelectronics” since 2019, the Young Scientists School has become a unique communication environment for both emerging and established microelectronics professionals. The seventh Young Scientists School will take place from September 21 to 29, 2026, at Sirius University of Science and Technology.

The organisers of the “Microelectronics 2026” Forum are JSC NIIME and JSC NIIMA “Progress”, with the support of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia.
